VIDEO: My Generation iPad App from ABC Demonstrates the Huge Potential for the Future
Posted by: | CommentsWhile I’m not of the age to use the new My Generation App from ABC, this video (actually an ABC commercial) clearly shows that this may be the beginning of “Interactive TV.” Other apps currently have this potential for interactivity ON the iPad. However, moving that connectivity FROM the TV to a remote device is going to be huge…especially for the younger generation that is VERY comfortable with technology. Apple’s new iOS for the iPad, coming in November, 2010, will extend this wireless connectivity even further permitting you to stream content from your iPad or iPhone TO the TV via AppleTV.
Take a look at the video and let me know your thoughts.
VIDEO-Google Offers VERY COOL new Search Video as Unique Branding Tool
Posted by: | CommentsMost businesses know by now the power of video for marketing (or SHOULD). However, it still surprises me just how many DON’T have a single video on their web site or on YouTube. Maybe they feel that they don’t have the right equipment (although that excuse is a fantasy in this time of HD video cameras for under $200). I’ve heard many suggest that they wouldn’t be very good in front of the camera. Or they protest that they don’t know what to say. Yada. Yada. Yada.
Well, Google has just handed you a VERY COOL new way to put a video on YouTube AND your web site with NO camera, NO editing software, NO script NO need to appear on the video…and create it all in less than 10 minutes.
See the sample by clicking the graphic below and produce one for your own personal or business brand enhancement.
Will the Apple iPad be an iFlop?
Posted by: | Comments
After months of speculation about the introduction of Apple’s “tablet,” the iPad was finally introduced last week with MUCH fanfare! While there has been much discussion among tech writers and analysts about what it “doesn’t” include, I think that they may have forgotten the history of the iPhone. Shortly after the iPhone launch less than 2 years ago, there was much grumbling about the limitations of the iPhone…most importantly, it’s inability to run third-party apps.
If you follow my blog, you know that one of my core marketing mandates is “FORGET OUT-OF-THE-BOX. TRY “OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD!” In that vein, I am interested in bringing you some of the world’s most dynamic, inventive and useful tools including design, marketing, branding, innovative products/concepts and other “cool” stuff. Well, the technology that you will see in the video below is by far the closest I’ve seen yet to “OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD”… period! Check it out and see if you don’t agree.

VIDEO-OBSCURA PUTS YOUR BRAND IN LIGHTS-BIG TIME!
Posted by: | CommentsOne of Obscura’s best known projects, iGoogle Artist Themes involved turning an entire city block of the Meatpacking District in New York into a series of projected, interactive billboards, where the work of artists like Jeff Koons and Marc Ecko were blown up to five stories tall for the three night event. Or you may have spotted Adobe CS3, an interactive window display advertising Adobe’s new Creative Suite release that became visually hyperactive based on how many people walked by on the street, and even how close they came to the screen. The collaboration with Goodby Silverstein & Partners and Brand New School transformed windows of the Virgin Megastores in Union Square, New York, and Picadilly Circus in London.
