GlenWood LOGO

was designed as an upscale new home community in northeast Wichita, Kansas.

The developers were frustrated at previous attempts to capture the essence of their community in a visual fashion. They considered the designs very “ho-hum,” lacking in uniqueness. For instance, the only street in the entire community is named FRITILLARY. A Fritillary is a species of butterfly. The developers liked the unusual name because it reflected the nature-loving context of the community with its many trees and creek.

Other designers just couldn’t seem to capture this concept in a logo.

As you can see, we used the stylized Fritillary butterfly to become the “W” in GlenWood. The colors and casual typeface add to the nature-filled ambiance of the community.
